MY RECENT COLLECTIONS
Keep Up With My Latest Work
A fabulously textured glaze that reacts in a high temperature kiln firing. Colours can be tailored to individual requests.
Organic shapes with flowing edges that offer a fragility despite the strength of the fired clay.
Beach combing and beach flotsam washed up by the sea are the inspiration for original work. Drawings, sketches and small clay maquettes develop ideas further before making into larger sculptures. All this knowledge and groundwork gained over the years is now used to make my sculptures, ideas backing up with not enough hours in the day to realise all the wonderful creations going on in the thought process! My range of glazed sculptures encapsulate the movement of the sea and sea foam in a solid form to be enjoyed forever.
NEW DESIGNS AND GLAZES
I am so excited to be exhibiting at Oxford Ceramics Fair 25th-26th October 2021 where new work will be on show. This new body of work explores the contrast of textured and smooth clay, coloured engobes and glazes. As in life, we have to ride the rough with the smooth. Heavily grogged clay and smooth handbuilding clay are combined in the same sculpture to replicate this contrast. Please contact me to discuss my work and commissions.
